AS/NZS 1125 Multicore + Earth Control Cable 0.6/1kV

AS/NZS 1125 Multicore + Earth Control Cable is a 0.6/1kV PVC insulated and PVC sheathed control cable using stranded plain annealed copper conductors in 1.5 mm² and 2.5 mm² sizes. The conductor constructions are 7/0.50 mm and 7/0.67 mm respectively, with multicore-plus-earth configurations from 2C+E to 50C+E for fixed control installations.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The product is built around stranded plain annealed copper conductors selected for reliable electrical performance in multicore control circuits. The 1.5 mm² conductor uses seven 0.50 mm copper wires, while the 2.5 mm² conductor uses seven 0.67 mm copper wires. Both are insulated with PVC V-90 and assembled with a matching green/yellow earth conductor before application of the PVC 5V-90 outer sheath.

The conductor design directly affects resistance, voltage drop and current capacity. The 2.5 mm² conductor has lower listed d.c. and a.c. resistance than the 1.5 mm² conductor, while both sizes are available across a wide 2C+E to 50C+E control-cable range.

WHAT 7/0.50 AND 7/0.67 MEAN

The designation 7/0.50 means seven copper wires, each with a nominal diameter of 0.50 mm, are stranded to form the listed 1.5 mm² conductor. The 7/0.67 designation similarly identifies seven 0.67 mm copper wires used for the 2.5 mm² conductor.

ELECTRICAL PERFORMANCE

The listed maximum d.c. resistance at 20°C is 13.6 Ω/km for 1.5 mm² and 7.41 Ω/km for 2.5 mm². Maximum a.c. resistance at 75°C is 16.5 Ω/km and 9.01 Ω/km respectively. The lower resistance of the 2.5 mm² conductor supports lower voltage drop and higher current capacity.

From Production to Delivery

From raw material preparation to final shipmen, every stage is caretuly controled to ensure consistent conductor quality, reliable pertormance, and sae delivery. Our roduction,
inspection, packaging, and logistics processes are managed in accordance with applicable standards and project requirements.

cable production line with finished cable being wound onto a reel

Production

Plain annealed copper conductors are stranded to the specified construction, insulated with PVC V-90, laid up with the required green/yellow earth conductor, and finished with a PVC 5V-90 outer sheath. Conductor size, core count, insulation thickness and cable dimensions follow the approved design.

Cable and conductor quality inspection and testing

Inspection

Inspection includes conductor stranding, conductor resistance, insulation condition, earth-core identification, sheath integrity, overall dimensions and finished-cable electrical performance.

Packaged cable drums stored in the factory warehouse

Packaging

Finished cables are wound onto suitable drums according to ordered cable size and length. Cable ends are secured and protected, and drum identification can include cable type, conductor size, core configuration, length and project reference.

Wooden drums of overhead conductors loaded into shipping container

Shipping

Before shipment, cable drums and accompanying documents are checked against the order and packing list. Product identification, inspection records and technical documentation can be prepared according to customer and project requirements.
