PRODUCT OVERVIEW

This 300/500V fire-resistant overall-screened control cable combines plain annealed copper conductors with a mica-glass fire-resistant tape and fire-resistant silicone-rubber insulation, an aluminum/polyester overall screen with tinned-copper drain wire, and a low-smoke zero-halogen outer sheath. The construction is designed to maintain circuit integrity during fire conditions while also providing an overall screen for control and signalling circuits.

The overall aluminum/polyester screen and tinned-copper drain wire support screened control and signalling circuits, while the mica-glass tape and fire-resistant silicone-rubber insulation provide the core fire-survival construction. The product range includes 2-, 3-, 4-, 7-, 12- and 19-core configurations with dimensions and weights defined by size.

Production

Plain annealed copper conductors are prepared as solid Class 1 or stranded Class 2 constructions, wrapped with mica-glass fire-resistant tape, insulated with fire-resistant silicone rubber, cabled with fillers, screened with aluminum/polyester tape and a tinned-copper drain wire, then finished with the specified LSZH sheath.

Inspection

Inspection focuses on screen continuity, drain-wire arrangement, mica/silicone insulation, LSZH sheath quality, conductor construction, dielectric test, insulation resistance and required fire-performance documentation.
