UL 1277 Multi-Conductor CU 600V FR-XLPE CPE Jacket Control Cable
UL 1277 Multi-Conductor CU 600V FR-XLPE CPE Jacket Control Cable is a silicone-free industrial control cable with Class B compressed bare-copper conductors, flame-retardant XLPE insulation and a chlorinated-polyethylene (CPE) outer jacket. It is designed for wet and dry control-cable installations requiring tray-cable construction, robust thermal capability and industrial environmental resistance.
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The cable uses 7-strand Class B compressed bare-copper conductors, FR-XLPE insulation and an overall CPE jacket. Polypropylene filler is used on cables with five or fewer conductors, while constructions with more than five conductors use a polyester flat-thread binder tape. A rip cord is included to simplify jacket removal.
The product is rated 600V and is suited for wet and dry areas, conduits, ducts, troughs, trays, direct burial and aerial routes supported by a messenger. The source lists conductor-temperature limits of 90°C for normal operation, 130°C for emergency overload and 250°C for short-circuit conditions. UL-rated constructions may be used in Class I, II and III, Division 2 hazardous locations, while constructions with three or more conductors are stated as listed for exposed runs (TC-ER).

From Production to Delivery
From raw material preparation to final shipmen, every stage is caretuly controled to ensure consistent conductor quality, reliable pertormance, and sae delivery. Our roduction,
inspection, packaging, and logistics processes are managed in accordance with applicable standards and project requirements.
Production
Class B compressed bare-copper conductors are prepared, insulated with FR-XLPE, assembled with polypropylene filler or polyester binder according to the number of conductors, fitted with the rip cord and finished with the CPE jacket.
Inspection
Inspection focuses on conductor construction, insulation/jacket thickness, overall diameter, conductor and cable weight, DC/AC resistance, bending-radius data, cable marking and project-specified test documentation.
Packaging
Finished cable is wound on reels or drums suitable for its diameter, weight and ordered length. Product identification can include conductor size, core count, standard reference, length and project number.
Shipping
Before shipment, cable marking, packing, inspection records and requested standard/test documents are checked against the order and project approval requirements.
Frequently Asked Questions
When is this FR-XLPE / CPE control cable a better choice than a simpler PVC control cable?
This construction is intended for projects that need a 600V tray/control cable with FR-XLPE insulation, a CPE outer jacket and the higher thermal limits stated in the product data. The choice should be driven by the project specification, environmental conditions and required UL / fire-performance documentation rather than jacket material alone.
What should I verify if TC-ER is required?
The source states that UL-rated constructions with three or more conductors are listed for exposed runs. For procurement, confirm that the exact conductor size and core count being supplied carries the required TC-ER marking/listing, because a family-level statement is not a substitute for the actual cable marking.
Can this cable be used in hazardous locations?
The source states that UL-rated constructions can be used in Class I, II and III, Division 2 hazardous locations. The complete installation still depends on cable marking, fittings, seals, wiring method and the governing NEC/project requirements.
How should the 60°C, 75°C and 90°C ampacity columns be used?
Use the column that corresponds to the permitted conductor/termination temperature in the project design, then apply any code-required derating for ambient temperature, grouping and installation conditions. The table values are source product data, not a substitute for the governing electrical-code calculation.
What information should I provide for an accurate quotation?
Provide conductor size, core count, required length, installation method and any required TC-ER, direct-burial or hazardous-location markings. Also state the applicable ampacity/temperature basis, conductor-identification requirement, reel length and all required UL / ICEA / flame-test documents.
What products do you supply for the power cable industry?
We provide a wide range of cable materials and electrical products, including aluminum conductors, aluminum rods, aluminum wires, overhead conductors, medium and low voltage power cables, cable insulation materials, filling materials, shielding materials, and cable manufacturing consumables. We provide customized solutions according to different cable manufacturing requirements.
