Project Background
To expand production capacity and meet increasing regional demand for medium- and high-voltage power cables, a leading cable manufacturer upgraded its conductor production facilities and expanded its cable manufacturing lines. The project required a stable supply of high-quality conductor materials capable of supporting continuous large-scale production.
Customer Requirements
The manufacturer required consistent raw material quality, stable electrical conductivity, and reliable mechanical properties to ensure efficient conductor drawing, stranding, and cable manufacturing. Continuous supply and technical consistency between production batches were critical to maintaining manufacturing efficiency.
Product Scope
Aluminum rod, aluminum alloy rod, galvanized steel wire, conductor materials, conductor grease, and related cable manufacturing materials.
Technical Standards
IEC, ASTM, BS EN standards, customer manufacturing specifications, and internal quality control requirements.
Supply Challenge
The production facility operated continuously with minimal inventory, requiring precise delivery schedules and consistent product quality. Raw materials had to maintain stable conductivity, dimensional accuracy, and surface quality throughout multiple production batches to minimize production interruptions.
Solution
A dedicated supply management program was established to coordinate manufacturing schedules, quality inspections, logistics, and batch traceability. Every shipment was supported by complete material test certificates and quality documentation, ensuring consistent performance throughout the customer’s manufacturing process.
Delivery Result
The long-term supply program supported stable conductor production, improved manufacturing efficiency, reduced material variation, and strengthened the customer’s ability to meet increasing market demand.
