AS/NZS 5000.1 Unarmoured Multicore Control Cable 0.6/1kV
AS/NZS 5000.1 Unarmoured Multicore Control Cable is a 0.6/1kV XLPE-insulated, PVC-sheathed copper control cable designed for fixed control circuits in commercial, industrial, mining and utility installations where additional metallic armour is not required. The cable uses plain annealed copper conductors, XLPE X-90 insulation and a PVC 5V-90 outer sheath, with three-core and four-core constructions available in 10 mm², 16 mm² and 25 mm² conductor sizes. It is suitable for unenclosed installation, conduit, direct burial and underground ducts where the cable is not subject to mechanical damage.
Description
The product is intended for fixed multicore control circuits that require higher conductor sizes than conventional small control-cable ranges. XLPE X-90 insulation provides the thermal basis for the listed 90°C electrical characteristics, while the PVC 5V-90 sheath provides an external protective covering for fixed installation.
Three-core construction uses red, white and blue insulation colours, while the four-core version uses red, white, blue and black. The absence of armour keeps the construction simpler and lighter than an armoured alternative, making it suitable where the installation route itself provides adequate mechanical protection.

From Production to Delivery
From raw material preparation to final shipmen, every stage is caretuly controled to ensure consistent conductor quality, reliable pertormance, and sae delivery. Our roduction,
inspection, packaging, and logistics processes are managed in accordance with applicable standards and project requirements.
Production
Plain annealed copper conductors are stranded to the specified construction, insulated with XLPE X-90, laid up into the required three-core or four-core configuration and finished with a PVC 5V-90 outer sheath. Conductor size, insulation thickness and overall cable dimensions follow the approved design.
Inspection
Inspection focuses on conductor construction, insulation condition, core identification, sheath quality, overall dimensions and electrical performance. Conductor resistance and dimensional checks are verified against the approved technical schedule before release.
Packaging
Finished cables are wound onto suitable drums according to ordered size and length. Cable ends are secured and protected, while drum identification can include cable type, conductor size, core count, length and project reference.
Shipping
Before shipment, cable drums and accompanying documents are checked against the order and packing list. Product identification, inspection records and technical documentation can be prepared according to customer and project requirements.
