BS 7629-1 SR Insulated Fire Resistant Control Cable 300/500V
BS 7629-1 SR Insulated Fire Resistant Control Cable is a 300/500V copper control cable designed for emergency services and fire-circuit control. It uses solid Class 1 plain annealed copper conductors, fire-resistant silicone-rubber insulation and a low-smoke zero-halogen outer sheath, with 2-, 3- and 4-core constructions available.
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The cable is basically designed to BS 7629-1 for fixed fire-resistant control circuits. Plain annealed copper conductors are solid to IEC/EN 60228 Class 1 and insulated with fire-resistant silicone-rubber compound type EI2. The insulated cores are cabled together in concentric layers with suitable non-hygroscopic fillers and finished with a thermoplastic LSZH outer sheath type LTS3; a thermosetting LSZH compound type SW2-SW4 can also be offered.
The listed range covers 2-, 3- and 4-core designs in 1.5 mm² and 2.5 mm² conductor sizes, including versions with and without an earth conductor. The product is intended for emergency-service and fire-circuit control applications where circuit integrity, low smoke, halogen-free materials and defined fire-performance characteristics are required.
