Project Background
As part of the country’s oil production expansion program, a new Central Processing Facility (CPF) was constructed to increase crude oil processing capacity and improve operational efficiency. The project included process units, utility systems, substations, control buildings, storage facilities, and associated electrical infrastructure required for continuous oil production.
Customer Requirements
The EPC contractor required a comprehensive cable supply solution capable of supporting power distribution, process automation, instrumentation, and safety systems throughout the facility. Products needed to provide reliable performance in high-temperature, dusty environments while complying with stringent oil and gas industry specifications.
Product Scope
Medium-voltage power cables, low-voltage power cables, instrumentation cables, control cables, fire-resistant cables, low-smoke halogen-free cables, grounding conductors, communication cables, cable accessories, and industrial electrical connection materials.
Technical Standards
IEC 60502, IEC 60228, IEC 60331, IEC 60332, IEC 60754, IEC 61034, IEC 60079 (Hazardous Areas), BS EN standards, and project engineering specifications.
Supply Challenge
The project involved multiple international EPC contractors and specialized equipment suppliers operating simultaneously. Strict documentation requirements, inspection procedures, and phased construction schedules demanded accurate production planning and highly coordinated logistics. Products also had to withstand extreme environmental conditions common to Middle Eastern oil fields.
Solution
A dedicated oil and gas project team coordinated engineering review, production planning, quality inspections, documentation, and international logistics throughout the project. Each shipment included complete test certificates, inspection reports, cable schedules, and technical documentation, ensuring efficient site acceptance and installation.
Delivery Result
The complete cable supply was delivered according to the project schedule, supporting the successful commissioning of the central processing facility. Reliable cable performance contributed to safe operation, stable production, and long-term reliability of the oil field infrastructure.
