Project Background
To improve production reliability and extend operational life, an offshore natural gas platform underwent a comprehensive electrical system upgrade. The project included replacement of aging power distribution systems, process control equipment, emergency systems, and communication infrastructure while maintaining continuous offshore production.
Customer Requirements
The customer required marine-grade cable systems offering excellent flame-retardant performance, corrosion resistance, low smoke emission, and long-term reliability in offshore environments. Complete quality documentation and compliance with international offshore standards were essential.

Supply Challenge
Because the offshore platform remained operational during construction, cable replacement had to be completed within limited maintenance windows. Logistics required careful coordination between manufacturing, port handling, and offshore installation vessels.
Solution
Production schedules were synchronized with platform shutdown plans, while all products underwent comprehensive factory testing before shipment. Detailed cable identification, packing documentation, and installation schedules helped simplify offshore installation and minimize downtime.
Delivery Result
The electrical upgrade was completed successfully with uninterrupted material supply. The new cable systems improved operational safety, enhanced equipment reliability, and extended the service life of the offshore production platform.
