BS 7629-1 450/750V sR Insulated Fire Resistant Control Cable
BS 7629-1 450/750V sR Insulated Fire Resistant Control Cable is a stranded-copper, silicone-rubber insulated and LSZH sheathed control cable for general power-supply and signal wiring, emergency circuits and fire-circuit control. Available in 2- to 5-core constructions, it is designed around fire-resistant circuit performance while retaining a compact, unscreened multicore construction.
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The cable is basically designed to BS 7629-1 and uses plain annealed copper conductors stranded to IEC/EN 60228 Class 2. Each conductor is insulated with fire-resistant silicone-rubber compound type EI2, after which the cores are laid together in concentric layers with suitable non-hygroscopic fillers and covered by an LSZH outer sheath.
The design is intended for control and power-supply circuits where fire survival, low-smoke performance and reduced corrosive gas emissions are important. Compared with the screened 450/750V version, this product omits the overall aluminum/polyester screen and drain wire, giving a simpler unscreened construction for circuits that do not require electrostatic-noise screening.
